Our Milestone
Milestone in Achievement
Since 2018 to till date, DYC has grown leaps and bounds. With the collective (family, mentors, and volunteers) support, DYC has become an approved 501c3 organization in September 2019 and is now eligible to receive the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) for all contributions done through DYC.
This platform was planned and executed with consistency and dedication. We have now grown over a couple of years, and expect to proceed forward with the same enthusiasm. Since DYC is not just a platform, but a community that inspires and shares knowledge with each other; the Student Leaders and Volunteers are committed to continuing the good work always.
Let’s have a big round of applause for each one of them.
DYC Journey
Check out our past year’s milestones here:
DYC managed to overcome the pandemic challenges that affected everyone last year. We could host many more virtual workshops, seminars, classes, sessions. by pooling in the student leaders, experts, learners, and volunteers virtually. We expanded our programs online for multiple months and democratized hands-on learning in the true sense. View our latest workshops and community projects on our website (www.designyourcareers.org) We want to thank the team of volunteers, learners, and our core members who have contributed immensely to the growth of DYC over the years, overcoming challenges, and connecting with one and all.
We have trained over 25 students through our DYC free workshops and received feedback stating that they felt “very satisfied”. We also provided leadership opportunities for 11 students who have successfully led 12 workshops (viz. Math AMC-8/10, Java programming, Web design, IoT, Dance, Talent show, calligraphy, art, science projects, Video making, Track & Field learning tips, etc.), earned hands-on experience, community service hours, and achieved special recognition. In addition, 6 industry professionals have guided the DYC core team, worked with the first subject-matter expert from Cisco to gain real-time experience on IOT and 35 community volunteers have served 5 different, worldwide non-profits and over 800 underserved kids. Besides serving in the community, the DYC is extremely engaged. On average, students & mentors together have spent over 250 dedicated hours to make this platform accessible globally. We are very thankful for every volunteer’s effort and commitment. Contact us to learn more about our past and upcoming events.
We donated the school supplies, toys, and food snacks to the needy children in India which gave them huge smiles.

The genesis of the DYC concept first started at a dining table between two friends (Rohan Malyala & Anirudhan Badrinath). We realized that helping out one another is the way to learn better. DYC was conceptually born in the year 2018.
We rolled out the plan by registering DYC as a non-profit to benefit many others and officially launched our initial concept to go global with the four primary programs, Logicians, Imaginers, Givers, and, Players and the DYC logo on July 23rd, 2018.
We have added three other student leaders from other schools, who have different interests and hobbies.
We have collectively participated in various community events helping other non-profits, supported blind kids, and hosted multiple workshops in the local community.. We have worked on the feedback given to us and have managed to realize several ideas in building the platform.
